Who is Planning to Read More This Year?
Ask a Question
I used to read a lot years ago and I'm getting back into it more now so I've just set my Goodreads goal to 50 for 2024.
Has anyone else set a goal?
I usually read a book a week but didn't quite make that last year so I am hoping to get back on form in 2024. Good luck with your goal (I used to win loads of books from goodreads when they let the UK enter the drawings!)
SamGoodship Years ago I must have won 80 ish books and was 'gutted' when they stopped the UK entering, which I believe was when Amazon took them over? I would love it if they started UK giveaways again too
SamGoodship I wish they would do the UK giveaways too. I used to get quite a few from there.
I used to read an awful lot years ago,, always had to book on the go, not really sure what happened but it just seemed to have stopped, but definitely something I want to get back into doing again.
SamGoodship that's a good point, yes I must try to do that. I always take a few books with me on holidays and get back into them quite easily.
When do people have time to read in a normal day? I only seem to have time to read while on holiday sitting in the sun, then I think I should be doing something else. Used to read while I was breastfeeding at night to keep me awake.
I set my goal on Goodreads every yr but haven’t met my goal in last 2 yrs. I love to read every night before I go to sleep but now find myself feeling so tired at night I only seem to read few pages and not chapters like I used to
I set a goal on Goodreads every yr but last 2 yrs I haven’t met my goal . I love to read every night before bed but have found myself so tired at night now that I only read few pages rather than few chapters or few hrs. I am hoping to get my book count up to better no this yr
I always plan to read more and when i do get round to reading a book i always enjoy it but it’s hard sometimes to motivate myself
I don't read at all, stopped buying newspapers years ago, and I just can't get into reading books
