Police in Manchester Are a Bit Too Violent Arent They?

In the News

On the news. I know they are arresting criminals (not sure what they did) and armed and trying to prevent their weapons being taken but it’s going a bit too far stamping on someone’s head! Not sure some police are fit to be police.

Leannexxx It’s very scary, especially for women isn’t it? I know nothing about Manchester though, I’ve never been there. I live in Sussex in the South East.

Stop this snowflakery. This country need a strong police force. What do you think they should do invite criminals for a tea or send them a reminder that they will be arrested ? 😳🤔

Apparently he left female police officer with a bleeding face and broken nose plus he was shouting in a foreign language. Well behaved young man

Whilst not defending their actions I don't think the police are immune from fear when tackling violent crims, I think I would want to put them down before they could put me in hospital or worse. Kicking someone in the head when they are down is ott though.

Lynibis I agree with you on that just every week here there is always something to do with the police and what they have done and they are meant to be trained to keep composure in them situations not kicking them in the head

Lynibis yeah this is the thing, these situations are never black and white. I wasn’t aware what the people being arrested had done but it’s understandable the police officer being angry after seeing his female colleague have her nose broken.

However it is part of their job and they need to keep their cool in all situations else they then find themselves crossing the line.

The female officer had her nose broken to begin with. Totally agree they went to far. If the guy had been fighting them I'd have been like oh well he deserved it but he was being compliant at that point

Jerseydrew I read about and they had to either withdraw the gun or put him down another way, so they did, as it was a bit too risky to pull the gun out at the airport. Well done police and give a man a medal, don't punish him.

Jerseydrew Problem is the video has been reduced to bare minimum, show the footage from the on body camera prior to the attack.

Anyone remember Euro and the man wielding a machete? German police shot him.

SebK84 true, but even if we saw the whole thing the guy was on the floor. Kicking him to get him on the floor if he was fighting is a totally different story.

JerseydrewAs much as you would like to disagree with police actions here, man would be shot dead in the States without hesitation. He should consider himself lucky. He was stopped, rather than surrender he picked a fight with police and others joined.

SebK84 true. As I wasn't there I'm going on what I've seen the fact Manchester police have come on record saying they are investigating it before it went viral. Says to me they know more then us. I'm not anti police far from it. I don't think they are God's either

Amar Minhas, from Leeds, said he had just landed at the airport when he saw the incident unfold. He told the BBC that police approached one of the men, in his early 20s, and told him he was a wanted man before they “pinned him up against a wall”.

Another man then “started on the police” and a fight ensued, Minhas said. This man started “throwing punches, he was Tasered and fell to the floor”, he said. “That’s when the policeman kicked him.”

This guy attacked a female officer and broke her nose, so deserved what he got, however stamping on someone's head is a bit OTT

It was shocking how that police man behaved and you can the female police officer in that video was very shocked by what he did (as most of us were).

Most police are good enough but there’s always some who do things like this. As i could see all the people being detained were complying.

Just seen this topic I did heard also seen video clips on Tiktok as far I know here in uk never seen any Police officers kicking someone like they did in videos/real,here a Law for every Criminal only Judge can decide which punishment they deserve no one else have right to punish no matter if they police officers. I think Judge should punish who ever is wrong equal decision for both Parties that’s it.😊
