Should Police Officers get a Pay Rise?
I heard recently that some have resorted to visiting food banks in the last year because of the cost of living.
I mean add them to the long list of people who should get a pay rise. It’s evident that people are finding harder and harder to live on what they earn
TheChimp None of the U.K. parties will fix that, whether it's Labor, Conservative (in name only), or Reform (Tory 2.0.).
The U.K. needs a harsh government that'll set things straight (e.g. make the police do their damn job), but that won't happen.
England was so much better in the early 2000's than what it is now.
No, no, no to a pay rise. What do they spend their wages on? I think this a rumour to sound poor and get a pay rise out of it.
Not really , compared to other people they are on reasonable pay , and if they stay put for a few years or work their way up the scales their pay is pretty good. Others on a lot worse pay are struggling
A pay rise for what? Tracking down people who post meany comments?
What the police needs is to be reformed and man up'd. Disgrace what they've become.
We rarely see one around here and you just try to get one out of their car! I'm not sure why we pay for them at all especially when you consider how many of them are criminals themselves....
I think the police are on inflation linked pay rises as they don't have the right to strike. I could be wrong but its something like that so they shouldn't actually need a pay rise because their pay rise was automatic. Maybe I've got that wrong but I seem to remember reading that somewhere.
No, for what? They do nothing, when you phone them it takes forever for them to come out, and most of the time those community Bobbie's turn up who have no powers of arrest
Yes they should get a pay rise and so should everyone else get one to I working with other nurses and medical staff and some of them are turning to food banks the MPs don't care as long as they are okay
