Do You Have a Pothole Problem?
Ask a Question
Does your area have a lot of pot holes? The AA was called out to almost 60k cars every day in March that had been damaged by pot holes.
Our road has been terrible with lots of people damaging their cars and they have finally resurfaced it (but only half the road may I add!)
Yes, we got a puncture from a deep pot hole last year and then had to buy two new front tyres to even them up. We don't go down that road anymore, we were only on it to get around a village that had the main road closed off (for several months). There are so many pot holes around here though and because of the rainfall a lot are difficult to spot as they are full of water and look flat. So roads are just multiple joined up potholes!
I am convinced that people who repair the roads get no training as road repairs are the worst I have ever experienced and never last very long before they need repairing again.
tumblespots I think you can claim against the council if you hit a pothole and damage your car but you have to take pictures ect. You will have to look it up for yourself though
Pfs Yes, I think that's true but it is too long ago now and we didn't have a camera with us at the time!
The main roads where we live aren't too bad with potholes but the car park at my workplace is an absolute nightmare for potholes. Spring on my car went because of them.
Strange you ask because this week I came across three potholes. They were all pretty big too. So maybe the folks who normally fill them are not being used. Strange. Maybe it's the council cash crisis
Pot holes and unlevel pavements are a .nuisance around here. All our local roads have been dug up to install new internet cables.
It’s worse than it’s ever been before, there doesn’t seem to be any road without massive holes and i see no evidence of the issue being fixed
There not to bad where I live, very minor roads have potholes occasionally. I'm sure the problem will get worse with time though as our council is bankrupt near enough and the increase in heavy EV vehicles will accelerate road surface damage.
