Quality Street Fan Not Happy and Rages about the New Wrappers, Are You ?

Ask a Question

'Its a wrap', but no longer the shiny type quality streets had

Now they are just in plain wrappers and people are not happy

I must admit part of the fun for me at christmas was unwrapping those crinkly shiny wrappers with the strong smell of chocolate

Now they have lost their sparkle and for me their appeal

Are you going to give the new streets on the block a miss?

Prefer the shine but it's better for the environment to not have the shine. That's better for everyone in the long run. We just need to get used to the change

martinlufc5637 I stopped buying Quality Street more than three years ago. Not even for £2.50 could tempt into buying a tub this year. Roses is my favourite and it is never reduced in my area or even nearby.

Really!? Is this all this woman has troubling her life? I would sooner have cheaper wrapping than dearer price but knowing these companies it's probably both! As long as they taste the same can't see the problem.

Lynibis I think the taste is probably the main problem L as you say when they start changing the recipe to save money, then theres shrinkflation

Strangely enough i opened a tub last night and thought the same. It did take away some of the appeal but obviously it’s not a massive deal. I’ll still eat them happily

I know exactly what you are talking about. Plus back in the day we used to hold them in the light and change colours of things around us.
