I love history and psychology and literature and poetry too. what about you and where do you get good prices for your books
I like romance novels and comedy. I do enjoy historical fiction too. As long as the storyline sounds interesting I will give it a go. I have a kindle so look on Amazon but my husbands granny gives us books when she has finished with them so I haven't bought a book for a while.
If you like historical fiction you would probably enjoy a set of 6 books by Maurice Druon. I have read them twice over and enthralled both times. David Gilman also has a great series following the life of a young peasant boy who is knighted on the battlefield of Crecy on the point of death but survives and rises to be an important guy with lots of adventures.
Sharon Penman has written a great trilogy about Henry II and his rebellious wife and sons and she also wrote The Sunne in Splendour about Richard III and his path to the throne and another take on who killed the princes in the tower. I can recommend loads of great books but no space here!
I like to read psychology books to learn how the mind works such as human emotions and how to use science to make your life better dealing with different situations.
The next book I am planning to read is The Myth of Mental Illness
Book by Thomas Szasz the book has been recommended by Jordan Peterson.
I have that book myself in my to read pile! I like psychology too. I rather like R D Laing and I used to work for the local mental health authority and did some psychology at undergrad level. I also like history, some philosophy, the occult and the esoteric. I do also read music bios as well.
I love crime and mystery series of books by Michael Connelly, PD James, Deborah Crombie, Elizabeth George, Camilla Lackberg, Jo Nesbo, well the list goes on and on...
