Receipt Cashback Apps

Money Saving

I've seen people earning money from apps you scan your receipts too. I always have so many receipts, wondered if worth doing something with them!

Has anyone earned much using them?

Which apps do you use?

I've also done Shop and Scan for many years but that is more difficult to get on as they only recruit every so often.

Grannyclock I've not heard of this one, what is it you do... Just photo receipts?

vixe80 the main thing is to scan all your shopping using a ‘clicker’ that they provide. Then once a week you scan your receipts and upload them. You are given points and can exchange them for vouchers. The scheme is run by Kantar and their figures about shopping habits are often quoted in the news.

Grannyclock that's sounds quite interesting, does it pay out well/better than others given you have to scan items and photo receipts?

vixe80 yes it builds up nicely and there are often surveys and other projects they ask you to do. I usually make about £200 in Amazon vouchers a year.

I use Shoppix, Storewards, HuYu (only supermarket receipts) and SnapMyEats (only food reciepts) - all very similar you take photos of your receipts and then build up point to redeem via paypal/amazon usually - all adds up 🙂

I've been using Shoppix for a while now and it's really good. As well as the points you accumulate when posting your receipts you also get the chance to complete wee quizzes and surveys from time to time for a chance to win extra points. 😀

I used shoppix. Zipzero used to be really good but they stopped paying out last year and seem to be making a comeback soon.

vixe80 Turn Receipts Into Rewards

Earn up to £5 in reward credits for your receipts!

SnapMyEats is an easy to use app where you can earn great rewards just for taking surveys and snapping pictures of receipts from your food and drink purchases. This includes things like a snack or coffee on the go, fast food, restaurant meals, or even just buying a chocolate bar.

Just downloaded shoppix as it seems highly recommended in this chat. Really straightforward and gained 360 points already. 3200 points for a £5 voucher. I’m sure it will soon build up ☺️

vixe80 awww no worries 😊 so Swagbucks is this app/website where you can get points or Swagbucks as they call it in multiple ways. You can play games, do a search via their own engine, shop online through their app, do surveys, daily poll.. all of these plus more will give you points towards a voucher or PayPal.

They also accept receipts from all the main supermarkets and other stores such as boots, Poundland etc

BilgehanDeniz the app gives you many ways to earn points towards a voucher or PayPal or other rewards. It's not solely made for the purpose of receipts exchange but they do give points for your receipts. You upload them and they give you points as long as the receipt is within the last 7 days.

I do have a few . I have a hobby called wombling. I make £20 a month on Shopprize, I also use Shoppix, I use Zip zero which has just relaunched ..

Huyu is pretty good and I'd also recommend the cashback apps,Checkoutsmart, greenjinn,Shopimum and snapmyeats. Hope they are of use vixe80 .

vixe80 I think wombling is when you go around shops picking up other people’s discarded receipts and then you scan them on all the apps to reap the rewards 😁

snoogans888, oh, is that allowed?

snoogans888

vixe80 I only use Shoppix so I can’t comment about the other apps but yes it’s allowed. They allow you to upload receipts from other people in your household (including emailed ones from online shops) so they won’t know if you’ve just picked up receipts in shops. But you can only do one receipt per shop per day, so you couldn’t for example send in 3 receipts from Sainsbury’s all on one day. It uses the date on the receipt so you can’t save them to upload for different days.

Hope that makes sense!

lornaae, Nadiaparveen, Midnightflower, stuartsmith544 You've said you all use Huyu and I'm hoping you can help me. I've just downloaded it and tried to send them e-receipts for Tesco but they keep rejecting them saying the receipt doesn't look right. I've tried sending them the first email I receive from Tesco when I book my slot as that's the one that says my order is confirmed which is what they asked for, but that doesn't seem to work. And I've tried the email that I receive when the store actually puts my shopping thru the till.

Also, am I right that I only put my Huyu Code in the Subject Line and nothing else?

Thank you!

snoogans888 sounds tricky, I didn't realise you could do e - receipts too. I downloaded app and magaged to upload receipts, one was rejected because was over 7 days old... Don't know if that is case on your e-receipt? 🤷‍♀️

vixe80 I sent them my email receipt from this morning’s shop but apparently that’s the wrong one. I’ll try sending them one tomorrow when I book my next order. I didn’t know there was a 7 day cut off so that’s helpful to know thanks

I've only sent e-receipts from Asda and managed to do so with few/no issues. Yes you only put the code in the subject line and nothing else. Not sure why it's not working for you. I just checked the FAQ's on the app and it says for Tesco e-receipts forward the email called 'Your http://tesco.com/ grocery order confirmation'. There is an email you can contact forhelp@huyuapp.co.ukpp.co.uk so maybe contact them if still no luck.
