AdrianFiel43778 Some landlords don't really care about their tenants and everything done on the cheap

AdrianFiel43778 Wow that is a 25% increase which is huge, about 3x the so called average increase.

The private rent went up by 39% all in one go recently. They said everyone else is doing it so they should too. 🤪

tmcelligott That is a staggering increase, was it a very low rent before? That would be a financially crippling increase for many people.

Not the same but we have been in the same property for 18 years. It is very dated and the landlord has realised that if they update they can get more rent, so we have been given 2 months notice to quit. To get a similar size property in the same area will cost us between £1650 to £1795 per month compared to the £925 we are currently paying. It is a shock.

Been paying £475 a month for a 1 bedroom flat since November last year in Bradford so I hope it doesn't increase.

It's already expensive and not really worth that much as it is
