Repeated Deals/posts
Other
Anyone else find there’s always a lot of repeated deals/posts being posted? Main thing I’ve noticed it with is stuff like Nivea, dove sets etc where someone has posted it and then posted it again a short number of weeks later with the same price, same offer etc
Unfortunately, a regular thing with some members, usually accompanied by back in stock, price drop or new offer.
Same old deals just another month.
elfleur98 I mean I’ve probably posted a repeated one myself (not intentional) but the ones I see alaways seem repeated and as you say it’s posted every month. I could understand if the price has dropped even further but everything is still the same
KateGriff169 Its just a way to gain points, that's my opinion, might be wrong.
I've repeated a couple of deals myself recently (50% of fragrance/makeup) if I think they're too good not to.
To be honest I do post repeat there’s few others also post repeat we allowed I was thinking other day if LD team stop giving points to repeat deals/vouchers/freebies then there’s no issue if someone thinks it’s points gaining thing like that I’m happy for posting repeat without points if I think my deals are good it’s take time efforts to post or find good deals hope team members will reply you if they decide something I love to hear what they going to reply any decision most welcome
As I understand it a deal cannot be reposted within 28 days ? Should a "normal" member try to do so they are "reminded" the deal has already been posted .
Unfortunately this appears not to apply to Latest Deals Hunters and Bots , who post dozens of duplicates every day .
I feel this sets a very bad example to members when Latest Deals employees and Bots post multiple duplicates daily ! How is this allowed ? Perhaps Tom or Kelsey would enlighten us ? I report at least 20 every day , found with my normal 10 minute scroll through !
intherealworld I just feel the same deal doesn’t necessarily need posting every 3/4 weeks when there’s been no change especially the amount of times they’ve been posted
intherealworld as your said within 28 days they allow after month this morning I re posted Nivea deal only 2 hours difference someone reported to my last month deal they removed then I reposted again as soon reached one month there’s so many Boots deals expire but still live needs to expired I seen few here expire there deals before one month and repost them especially Boots deals no one report them
KateGriff169 elfleur98 i find what's more annoying and not helpful to anyone is users who post deals that are Full price or not the best price repeatly every Month even though there are other deals on same products much cheaper with better saving. But still users think it's ok to post the expensive deal on repeat. Like that's clearly point gathering to me as it not helpful to anyone or a great deal.
elfleur98 I wondered that too, unless M means an effort it takes her to search through Latest Deals site to find other users deals and repost them as her own...
I never repost deals, that pancake LD dealhunter is something else, they post vouchers that are 5 months expired lol one other day posted, expired in June lol
martinlufc5637 That's a bot not a real human. It is posting around 300-500 deals a day. I don't believe a human would be able to post that many deals.
SebK84 That makes a lot of sense, I have been warned before for posting too many deals from the same retailer, I posted 3 in a row from amazon, yet they post only deals from amazon. I did think the other day why would someone just spend all day every day posting deals on here so makes sense they're a bot.
I do repost deals sometimes because site doesn't allow price drops of more than 5% to be edited. Additionally I never repost deals at higher price than I posted previously. Always repost lower priced deals, but I also post a lot of new deals.
I have noticed this to be particularly the case with the freebie section, which mostly seems to be reposts, phone/PC apps and product tests these days. I wish I had a pound for each time that boiler one cropped up.
All the decent freebies nowadays come with extortionate postage costs.
I thought it would be queried, so as soon as something comes up under the url I’m posting I delete and don’t post assumed points would be deducted even if at a slightly lower price.
