Scots Gran May Have 'Worlds Oldest' Unopened Easter Egg
In the News
This is a lovely and emotional story here and very apt for Easter, albeit a day late now
Ann Gibb’s 90-year-old chocolate egg is still in its original packaging and belonged to the sister she never got to meet.
The egg was bought for her sister but she never got it because she died in hospital just a month before her fifth birthday
Instead of throwing the egg away she kept it all this time
The sad part is a few years ago while in York she took it to Rowntree’s who had made it and told them the story and they promised to get back to her, they never did
It just shows these companies don't care about people only profits, despite the egg being a part of their history

That's cruel not giving it back also theft. I hope she had something else to remind her of her sister
Imnotcheap According to another article on yahoo news they didn't keep the egg I, they just ignored her request to see them to tell the story
Sick that a company thinks it's OK to keep it. They made it and sold it. What a sad story.
