What Would Your Last Meal on Earth Be?
Ask a Question
This amazing woman from Japan passed away on the 12th december after reaching the age of 116
She was still eating three meals a day up to that date and ate her favourite meal on her last day, bean-paste jelly
She was married , but her husband passed away at just 55 years of age
Her longevity she put down to eating healthy foods and drinking plenty of water
If i was lucky enough to live that long i think i would want to eat something a little less healthy on my last day, fish and chips !!
What would you pick ?

telmel yeah that's the main thing you have a happy life. I try to make sure my family has great memories
Honestly I wanna live but dunno if I'd wanna stay alive that long she probably seen most of her family pass away
Bean paste jelly sounds a bit grim to me. So I guess she was born maybe 1906 or 1907 such a long time ago and only just after the 19th Century. She would have seen so much change in Japan.
telmel no really pal, she out lived her children, my mum died of cancer aged 51 and her brother 54
martinlufc5637 Sorry to hear that M
My mum was in her late eighties when she passed because of cancer, but smoked all her life from an early age, if she didn't smoke i think she would have reached 100 or more
I looked after a lady one who was 103, she swore it was down to this special porridge she had for breakfast every day it was called slippery elm!!! Derived from tree bark I think, thinking about it I've looked after several old ladys who were over 100 but never a man
slightfoot We don't last as long as the ladies S , i think it is to do with testosterone
telmel yes maybe, I've looked after a few blokes in there late 90's but never over 100, my bloke says irs coz the women nag the blokes to death
116 is a great age to live your and it sounds as if she was relatively healthy up until the end.
