Where Are You Seeing Shrinkflation?

Ask a Question

Have you seen evidence of Shrinkflation?

Some big brands are denying it's happening with their products despite seeing that the packages in the shops getting smaller but prices staying the same.

Definitely at Poundland their Twin Peaks chocolate bar keeps shrinking, I think it was 200g at the start, then 180g, then 160g and maybe a in between size I missed but I thinks its 125g at the moment. How long before its 100g? It was great value but you can get 200g bars of standard bar chocolate at supermarkets for less than £1 with flavours like milk, plain, white and fruit and nut so I would buy those nowadays and ignore Twin Peaks altogether now as its poor value. Maybe they are trying to recoup their legal costs with Toblerone.

Chocolates, including Easter Eggs, chocolate bars, packs.

Biscuits, with almost 25% less (8 instead of 12, etc),

Some packaged cake products

It's rife. Groceries and luxuries are all shrinking. They use excuses such as smaller portions are more healthy but it's codswallop.
