Sharing Freebies From Established Websites

Help

We love sharing Freebies on Latest Deals but we also want to keep you safe.

Sometimes, Freebies turn out to be scams. Marketing tricks to get your data.

When we discover this (by you reporting it to us) we update a list of banned URLs.

To try and get ahead of the curve and protect you, our Mentors may put posts which look like scams into moderation.

Please support their voluntary efforts and understand why they are doing this. If it is a name they do not recognise, or it seems to be an unestablished business, or maybe just their Spidey sense is tingling... to be on the safe side they may move it to Moderation.

We have updated our Guidelines to include the following:

Registered and Established Businesses Only

In the interest of safety for our members, please only share deals from registered and established retailers. The business should have a company number and full address and contact details readily available, plus a VAT registration number. We do not accept posts to individual eBay listings.

Tom thanks .. I suppose we can add this same ruling for the FB Group Mods when they approve posts?

That'd be good nemosays. There's no need to announce it, when you spot something you can just link them here for the reasoning of not accepting a post.

Sounds sensible. Especially the ebay listings. Some can be tricky. And we often have to make the best judgement calls we can.

Thank you 🙂 I'm always wary of freebie sites.

There's a few that I do trust, but you have to be on your guard.
