Who Shops at Muji?

In the News

www.timeout.com/uk/news/muji-administration-everything-we-know-so-far-032824

So another high street store is in trouble, although I’m surprised they weren’t finished sooner, as I’ve not stepped foot in one of their stores in the UK for decades (they’re not as bad in the Far East, but with the prices they charge, I often shop elsewhere)

I don’t know anyone who shops there or even buy gifts for others from this brand - anyone on here who does?

I like the shop and love looking around the one in Birmingham but i do think the things in there are overpriced.

I like Muji pens. I may have to stock up. I thought they had more stores in the UK (and more outside of London). Plus, 4 (of their 6) London stores are clustered within a fairly small area.

ACR hopefully they will do decent reductions, although I expect them to still have expensive sales

We had a shop in Leeds but didn’t last long

I’m actually watching a Japanese actress’s video blog now and she’s shopping 🛍 at Muji, much bigger shops in Japan 🇯🇵

kitty88uk yes, they’re like a cross between IKEA and Uniqlo, selling more things than they do over here

Kitty10 it’s a Japanese brand shop - there ain’t many in the UK, but there are plenty out in the far east. I’m surprised we still had them, as they’ve been here for decades

There will be no high street left soon with the way things are going. Can't say that I've ever heard of Muji though.

RegularComper91 they might just have more ’concept’ stores in the future, where you see displays but can’t physically take anything home that day (so you order in person but get it delivered). Tbh with the shoplifting that goes on, I don’t blame the shops for not wanting to have their stock on show
