It kind of baffles me that this was actually considered news because it's normal that people would help each other. Then again, to be fair, people in US are very divided politically and as so, it has turned into "liberals vs republicans".
When I'm on about, if I see a senior gentleman or woman (it's an area generally more with old folks) who might need help then I'll ask him/her and if not, then I just go where I intended to.
