Is Sleeping Separately Better for You?

Ask a Question

Is sleeping separately better for your relationship and sleep?

Apparently, 1 in 6 of us have our own bed, or bedroom from our partner.

My husband and I share a bed but sometimes during the night one of us may go sleep in another room due to snoring or the heat but will never have separate beds.

eyeballkerry Do you feel it would be bad for the relationship to have a separate bed in the same room?

My husband will sometimes sleep in the spare room as our son comes into our bed and our son is a very fidgety sleeper. If it works for the couple and relationship then why not.

I always sleep alone lol, even if I had a partner I still would as I'm far too used to it now!

I can’t have anyone in my bed when I’m sleeping.. even their breathing annoys me let alone snoring / fidget or duvet hogging..

LL81 Ha, Ha, I'm the same with my partner, it is very frustrating, but she understands, I think?

I like sleeping in bed with my partner and she snores, but only a little. I know people who do have separate rooms, or even separate houses in some cases. To each their own, whatever works for their relationship is best.

Absolutely. I snore and my wife nudges me all night. No sleep for either of us. Now we have a spare room, she sleeps better and I play on Xbox until 3am 🤣

My partner sleeps upstairs in our bed, his little companion our black cat Phoenix on his fleece on my side of bed....While I fall asleep downstairs with our other cat Topaz by my side!!

I wake up in the wee small hours of the morning , do chores then go to bed around 6am , 7am or not at all!!

Its actually meant to be better to sleep in separate rooms. Can't see that happening with us. Our place is small

Maybe for others, but my partner and I enjoy each other’s company, even if there’s a bit of snoring and disruptions

Don't think sleeping separately when you're in a relationship will be any good for your relationship.

Think sleeping separately is for singles

My husband and I still share a bed but we both have our own bedding, we sleep in a superking size bed and each have our own double size bedding, I sleep like a baby but not 4 my husband it seems that double size bedding is not big enough 4 him and very often he had moved bedrooms, funning thing about all of this is apparently it was ME! Who pinched all the bed clothes.....????
