What's something that you have that was quite expensive but you think is worth every penny?
My Kindle (that I upgraded recently from a very old one) because it saves me so much money (and space) on buying loads of books.
If it’s a gadget it has to be my iPad. Something in the kitchen is my constant hot tap. Then in the bedroom my tv bed with luxury bedding. Priceless sinking underneath that every night.
My Leeds United season ticket, rarer than the holy grail lol, worth every penny, win or lose

I'm a cheapskate and rarely buy premium products but must admit I do enjoy my Grado headphones which have fantastic sound quality.

Our daughter studying to be a Radiographer, she works extremely hard & is worth every penny,her Da saved for her Education,the agreement was I stay home til she was older so I was at home for the first 8 years of her life,I didn't waste that time,I taught her to read,write,Maths & English...
When she was a baby her Da joined Axa Sunlife & when she was 16 for the £16.000 he put in he received 24.000 back & then £211..
Every penny has gone to our daughter's University Fees & the last lot we paid together..
She IS the future..x

Can you ask your daughter to do a scan on my knee when she's qualified because it feels a bit wonky 
TheChimp ,My daughter was telling me that if I was in pain to go to my Doctor after a week. I slipped on a patch of mud at work yesterday, I've scraped back of my hand,bruised my finger & I have 2 swollen knees!
I'm fine,managed to walk the mile to Morrisons after to do shopping with Service User then walk home after my shift!
Daughter was giving her diagnosis & said I need to be careful, I m 59 in May!
I damaged my Fitbit,scratched & broke the glass so gutted..
I have a new Fitbit fir Christmas so need to get that set up!

Maybe some ibuprofen would help as they are supposed to help with inflammation
MelissaLee1 Yes,I would like to be able to wear my Trainers or Skechers most of year apart from SNOW of course as I'm comfortable in them & a comfortable pair of waterproof boots for when it does snow..

Education. I buy resources for my kids at work. I have a group of readers jne told me they love reading Paddington. I've got some Paddington books. The look kn their face when they saw was worth it. If I can get them to love reading by the time they change class it's worth it
Jerseydrew ,our daughter LOVES reading,has a few books on the go at same time,had a Kindle but prefers a real book..
I didn't work for the first 8 years of her life, that was the agreement my partner & I had,.my partner worked & I stated home. I taught our daughter to read as did her Da & by the time she had opened her first Bank Account at 4.5 years she astounded everyone in Halifax Building Society in Meadowhall, Sheffield branch by finding different words,Mortgage, Insurance, Homebuyer etc..
I used to stay behind for 30 min after dropping her at Nursery & read with her at 4 years old when she started ,the teachers said I could & the other children started sitting down listening too,they loved the fact that I did this along with their teachers..
Now our daughter 25, helps her little second cousins read & do Maths when she's home from Uni as she likes to help out,she has a love of learning..
At school our daughter used to go over their work with friends who didn't understand it,she did the same at College & continues while studying as a Student Radiographer, helping her friends on the course if they don't understand.
janphoenix51 wow she's brilliant. Please tell you're involved in working with kids. Childcare/education need people like you. Even if it's something like the scouts. I hope when you're daughter finishes education she has the time to volunteer to help kids. She sounds like you wonderful.

My partner does the same,different part of Sheffield, different Management but same company, him 30 years,me 5 years.
Before our daughter went to Uni,she did her placement at the same company & then went on to support the service users in 2 Day Centres until 3 months before starting her Diagnostic Radiographer degree..
My doc Martin as they are great for work especially in the winter when it's cold and raining and I'm outside

It has to be a holiday, or a lovely relaxing spa break. Somewhere to get away from it all, unwind relax and enjoy yourself. No worries and a change of scenery and atmosphere, most importantly nothing to do.
I like elderflower cordial which is expensive compared to other squashes but it’s worth that little bit of extravagance.
Pjran, I think co op does a diluted juice that's pear and elderflower in it. It's maybe just over £2, if you have a co op near you. My son got it before, think it was new and on offer. So tescos asda etc may do it too.
