How Much Do You Spend on an Advent?

Ask a Question

How much are you spending on an Advent Calendar this year?

I've got for a gourmet marshmallow one this year ( I don't like those chocolate ones!) So I've spent £20.

I get a chocolate one from Lidl, they are either £1.25 or £1.50. I have seen a car one which I was tempted by but he would just want to open it all at once so chocolate it is.

I got one on offer from Asda, was £3 instead of £6. I did buy my mum a jam calendar that cost me £30, wouldn’t do that every year though

I don’t. They’re a waste of money. Best to buy after Xmas when the prices drop. Or make one yourself

hspexy I so agree with you on this! Damn waste of money just waiting to open them each day!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Making one yourself sounds fun 🤩 if you are the arts and crafts type or better yet buy snacks, foods and chocolates 🍫 put in a hamper or gift bag instead!

I have two kids and I get them two calendars each, so probably about £7/8 each kid. They both just have the chocolate ones

My OH said this year we should get a better advent than the standard £2.50 one. We have 6 to get for so I was going to do the poundland '3for2'. Still don't really think they are worth the price. I guess it's a nice treat for them, gets them into the festivities 🙂

£20 for a marshmallow advent calendar?! Lol that is very pricey! What brand is it?! For that amount of money for one you can buy a lot of groceries!!
