Are You Spending Less on Halloween?
Ask a Question
Are you spending less on Halloween this year?
With the cost of living Crisis, a lot of us are seeing the need to cut back on any little luxuries.
No, I never do to be honest. Being an OAP living alone I don't want to encourage children, especially teens, to knock on my door. I do, however, buy sweets for the 5 kids next door.
This Halloween thing has gone beyond.
Another US import that I don't like.
Luckily, we don't have many kids living in our cul-de-sac, so we shouldn't have anyone knocking at the door. I wouldn't answer anyway
I never spend money on Halloween. I have extra sweets in just incase someone comes to the door, but they never do. It gets eaten by us so not wasted.
MrsCraig We are in a new house this year so no idea if we will get trick or treaters lol
We go all out. Halloween is our Christmas. This year we've decided to make some decorations since the ones in stores are poor, overly priced and generic.. can't say that's worked out any cheaper though.

Not a big lover of Halloween, I usually buy the grandchildren big bag of sweets then it’s up to them if they keep them or hand them out to trick or treaters don’t think they should go begging for a few sweets
I have never done anything for it before. I don't particularly like people knocking on my door asking for stuff. I really hate it when they see me get home after work and expect me to answer. I'm normally desperate for the loo
I want to do halloween there's not many kids in my area though and the cost is quite a bit, Halloween a fun thing to do though and if you can afford it why not, it's worth spreading a little joy if you can handle it
