Not looking Forward To The Rumoured Indiana Jones 6!

I always loved the Indiana Jones movies but really struggled to ever enjoy the alien mess othat was Crystal Skulls. And now I can't stand Dial of Destiny. Is this the end of the franchise? Could someone fill Harrison's shoes? Why are they pushing for another movie?
It's a franchise so money talks, I personally don't like any of them from crystal skull onwards, I haven't watched the new one and probably won't bother
I find the whole franchise thing boring anyway, I’m fed up of constant sequels and needless remakes. I didn’t see the dial of destiny but i love the original 3 and don’t think I’ll bother with watching the new ones.
Personally I've never enjoyed any of the Indiana Jones films at all. Not my thing really. I like fantasy films but the stories never really interested me. I do enjoy Harrison Ford movies generally though but those films are more like Witness, Fugitive etc. I found the Temple of Doom a really unpleasant and unlikeable movie.
I think this franchise ran its course after the first film Milking the elderly Harrison for all he's worth!
Consumer I certainly can't blame them for making films that they feel will make a profit but some people like myself are tired of sequels and so many superhero movies now. So ultimately I rewatch films of the past that I know I like rather than new movies which I know I won't. I always go out of my way to watch original scifi movies that sound half decent but there aren't many of those nowadays.
I've never watched past the second one. Any movie that makes more than two just fails to keep me gripped.
I thought Phoebe Waller-Bridge was OK in Dial of Destiny, but the script (SPOILER)... really overdid the amount of times her character double-crossed Indiana Jones. With a good director and writer(s) there is potential for a fun adventure film.
I have less hope for the planned Ferris Bueller's Day Off spin-off movie -
'Just like its predecessor, the new movie takes place on a single day, but instead of following the cocky teens, the new film centers on the unnamed valets from the original story who took the infamous Ferrari for a joyride.' - www.gamesradar.com/ferris-buellers-day-off-spin-off-sam-and-victors-day-off-director/
I have never watched a complete Indiana Jones but seen bits of it. I can never understand why they have to bring out new movies after such a long time. They are never going to be as good as the first one.
