Strictly

In the News

What do people think of what's going on with strictly? To professionals left after accusations? Interesting and its been going on for years according to reports/rumours.

If it has been going on for years then I find it disgusting that the BBC seemingly have learnt nothing from previous instances of staff behaving atrociously.

Not putting what's happening at Strictly in the same bracket as the likes of Saville, Rolf Harris et al, but there seems to be an institutional problem with people at the beeb acting without consequence.

blacklabrador yup it's not OK once but if it's going on years it's worse. My oh reckons brendan Cole was gotten rid of for that reason. Who knows. They have form for hiding things

They keep on about all this and celebs complaining but everyone seems to forget the pros are just as desperate to win and don't want an early departure. When people are desperate they do awful things and I bet they hate it when they get someone who is not particularly talented. I suspect the beeb has turned a blind eye as they know people want to see celebs improving each week, and this is usually due to being pushed hard.

Jerseydrew I wouldn't know as I rarely watch it but I guess these shows have a hierarchy.

There are articles that come out every year accusing the professionals of bullying, being rude, working them too hard etc. These accusations are nothing new. When I think back to earlier seasons there are professionals that I could definitely see pushing the celebs too hard and bullying them. They have left now.

Serve them right in wanting more publicity for having zero talents in acting, singing or even ballroom dancing!! I have never watched it from day one only the BBC's non-stop previews of the show. The professionals deserve medals for putting up with these "two left foot" no talent whatsoever celebs attempting to waste their time with their childish behaviour.

I think one of the problems is the sort of behaviour is probably normal in the dancing world so it wouldn’t seem so bad to the dancers

To be honest I think a lot of it is just the gutter tabloids stirring it up as usual. It sort of reminds me of a documentary on Torvill & Dean and how Christopher Dean made Jane Torvill cry with his constant quest for perfection. Of course it's not right, but not something that is exclusive to Strictly.

I feel likes strictly's days may be coming to an end, its been on for a while now but it only ever seems to attract negative press in more recent years!
