Student Shopping - Any tips for food?
Ask a Question
Anyone got tips on how to find vouchers and deals for good healthy food. As a student I find eating unhealthy is the easy option as it is cheap and quick.
Go to Lidl and buy the veg. They have deals for 69p veg every week, different veg. These can be made into lots of things if you get a pack of dry pasta, you could make an easy Veg pasta dish, add a tin of chopped tomatoes (non branded) and some cheese. Done.
There are lots of easy meals you can make - search for student recipes.
Another one is make your own pizza. You can use Tortillas for a very thin base or buy one of the cheaper cheese and tomato ones and add your own toppings. Can be made healthier by adding lots of veg.
Unfortunately never seen vouchers for meat, but you can get 3 for £10 on meats in Tesco. Batch cook and freeze if you can't eat it all in a week.
Good luck.
If you have an NUS card and the Co-Op membership, you get 10% every shop - and if you have yet to sign up, I believe they are still giving out the £5 off £15 shop when you join
