🏖️ Should summer holidays be shorter?

The Welsh government has halted plans to modify the summer break, claiming it could help working families. What are your thoughts? 🤔

Crumbs what hasn't been taken away from us and now they want to take away what has been traditionally a time for children. Rather than this why do they not reinstate funding for youth clubs, summer clubs and extra help for those who are struggling with child care payments.

This gets talked about numerous times and nothing ever changes.

I don't think they should be shorter, but instead have them a month earlier which would coincide with the longest daylight hours; so late June to early August. By mid August, daylight hours are noticeably getting shorter.

Nope. I'd rather shorter easter holidays and longer summer holidays to be honest.

No they shouldn't be. Teachers and pupils need time to relax and de-stress. Instead of shortening it to help working families have summer clubs with funded places for those struggling. Have workplaces offer flexible/at home working during the holidays.
