Sussex Police Officer Who Refused to Go and Deal with a Crime
In the News
On itv gmb there's a story over a copper who refused to deal with a shoplifting and assault that was happening 26 seconds away by car because he wasn't a response unit. Nor did he want to deal with it. There was a drunk 15 year old assaulting those trying to stop it. I've not found a link for it.
I have had issue with the police in the past when I have called them out for help but they say they can not do anything. Something is wrong in the system.
eyeballkerry omg that's awful and shouldn't happen they are there to help. There's a reason why teens are behaving like this. They know the police won't come and help. It's not ok
When you have police that either won't deal with crime (which is their job!) and you have teens who know that no-one can touch them you are asking for trouble and it will bite us all on the *ss one day....
Tell the police that someone didn't pay their tv licence, and they'd soon take an interest.
telmel thank you for sharing it. I did search ylwhen I posted about it but couldn't find it online
Shameful yet unsurprising. They are lucky no one was killed. Not the way to help restore trust in policing.
The Police are not what they used to be. When I was growing up you would always see an officer walking up past my street on a daily basis, not anymore. How things change. Nowadays I can think of two forces off the top of my head thats really corrupt. Have the Police these days got only one job to do and not deal with Tom, **** or Harry. I thought the Police were all rounders. They are mostly out catching Motorists then actually dealing with a crime. No wonder we dont trust them anymore.
tumblespots If you're speeding, you should get fined whether it's income or not. We have so many morons going over the limit here in the village. It's only fines and bans that will stop them.
We need more traffic calming around here because it's getting a bit silly.
And don't talk to me about the arseholes with their noisy popping exhausts.
Even though the copper wasn't a response unit or allowed to deal with violent crime the sight of the car might have been enough to calm it while he called in for back up
Strictly speaking he wasn't a police officer but even so his response was cowardly to say the least.
Sadly I think the police force is broken. The public aren't safe and police aren't on the streets like they use to be. They only seem to be interested in major crimes, shop lifters ect just get away with it.
My sister was telling me that Shoplifters just brazingly take what they want these day,she dealt one some justice when one came into her shop stealing...Let's just say that her colleague was really impressed with my sister's Kung Fu moves that were caught on camera & that woman hasn'tbeen back!!!
