Tablet Recommendations

I am looking to purchase a tablet for my son who is now 9, I'm quite tired of him sharing my iPad 
He mainly will use for games, so I am assuming needs a good memory space. I don't know much about technology so I'm hoping someone could recommend decent one for as cheap as possible
