Are Tea Services out of Fashion, Can't Find a Decent One?
Ask a Question
Don't get me wrong, i am not a tea snob, i use mugs on a daily basis. However, with retirement looming and having finally found a good tea brand, i am going to have more time for baking.
I thought it might be nice to do the occasional afternoon tea for friends and soon to be ex colleagues but would love to do so with a nice tea set.
I have searched Amazon, Dunelm, Denby and many more but they are either ugly, too dear or cheap and nasty. I want something plain or lightly patterned, pale colour, cup large enough for a decent cuppa, any ideas?

nina090976 hi nina, thank you so much. I just didn't know where to start as even a search for tea sets or tea service often brought up no results.
Such a helpful community on LD, thank you again
Might be best to visit a couple of stores as I made a mistake ordering some online. The pottery was too thick for my liking.
I typed in afternoon tea crockery sets and quite a few came up. Various sizes and prices. As others have mentioned charity shops. If you use Facebook look at any local selling pages or put a wanted post up. I hope you find what you are looking for x
Have you tried ebay for a vintage set? Maybe worth having a look. Or a charity shop. Mine often have them
There's a little tea set comp on right now
