Teacher Sells Students Creepy Portraits on His Own Website, is This Ethical ?
Ask a Question
How would you feel if an art teacher at your kids school was selling their projects for profit ?
This is what happened in a Canadian school in Montreal
He set the kids certain projects and if up to his standard either sold the work or had the art transferred onto mugs or teashirts that he advertised on his own website
He was making hundreds of dollars from doing this until one student spotted their work on coffee mugs, mobile phone cases and clothing on his website
Do you think he should be sacked ?

I saw this story. He's very naughty indeed.Almost inevitable that he would eventually get caught though.
I can’t access the link but what about it was creepy? It’s definitely unethical but i’m not sure he should be sacked.
jms19 I dont know why its not highlighting in blue J, it is before i post it
But i just copied and pasted it and it went to the story, hope it works for you
Just in case here's a different link

Well basically it's theft. Stealing others work and making money by selling it. No different to stealing someone's art from home or gallery and selling it!
The cheeky so and so! (the teacher) Yes, the sack is the correct punishment for him. He should be forced to give the children at least 50% of the profit he made out of them.
He should be sacked straight away, and made to pay the students he's clearly taken advantage of...
