Tesco App and Website Down

Ask a Question

I'm due for a delivery tomorrow and all I have in my basket is a pack of butter as I hold the slot with one item and finish my order the day before delivery. App is down since yesterday so impossible to edit the basket. I do hope they just cancel my order instead of turning up with a pack of butter and charge me 4 pounds delivery 😂 are any of you in the same situation?

Yep. I usually check out on a Saturday night for a Sunday click n collect, I had put most of my shopping in the basket earlier in the week but it was down yesterday when I went to add further bits & checkout. Still down for me too now.....So now I'm waiting for OH to get back home so we can go to store....not how I'd hoped to spend my Sunday afternoon but hey hoo.

😂😁 Omg Ann1984 Haha Yes! Me & OH couldn't contain our laughs. The guy was fuming tho. Couldn't blame him like, was funny tho. That was the last time the website went down & many people had lots of missing items. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to OP & however does the packing has more common sense.

Tesco have actually been hacked, their website has been down for 2 days, keep your eye on the TV News for an update, I'm waiting to get my order sorted too! x

I do exactly the same. Add one item to hold a slot and then update it the day before it is due. Fortunately, I don't have a slot coming up. Best of luck with your butter situation!

My next order in Tuesday so I am hoping it will be back by then. I would expect that if like many, you just have a couple of 'holding' items in your basket Tesco will realise this and cancel the order rather than just deliver a couple of random items. If for some odd reason they do turn up with two items then you can just decline the order and return it for a full refund.

It is clearly a major attack on the site so who knows how long it will take.

Yes they did cancel the order.

I’d be more worried about my credit card details being hacked than a small load of shopping arriving.

The site is up and running again in Ireland this morning, so I assume it must be okay in the U.K. too?

I have so much trouble with Tesco website in my area that I wouldn't dare leave it till the last minute and that's stressful enough, try doing it this way G0501 , book your slot as far in advance as you can, click on your orders, select one and add all to basket, confirm and pay for your order, nearer the time amend your order, add things on or take things off, whatever, at least you'll get a shop coming that way, please don't do it this way any more, your nerves won't take it! 😉 x

I thought my order was tomorrow - but it was today. Phoned to makes sure it was cancelled - through on the phone within a few mins - promised they would 'try and cancel' the order. 4:30 this afternoon get a call from the driver with a delivery of two bottles of mile - assumed I probably wouldn't want to take the order! Will see how long it takes to get the refund but they usually sort in in a few days so not too worried. Have since managed to get Iceland slot for tomorrow so wait to see how well they do as I really want to avoid having to do a physical shop...

I eventually got my tomorrows delivery done today but OMG 🤯 I clicked on my 'Favourites' of which I had 8 pages, and the whole lot is gone, having to 'browse the site' and so much out of stock here, it took absolutely ages!! 😩

JoTarpley I think everyone's accounts had their favourites and usuals wiped, which is annoying. I went on to the website and to my previous orders. There is an option to add all items to the basket. I did this, then just removed items I did need and just a few bits that weren't on the previous order.

Glitterandgold Down again?

Luckily, I made changes earlier this morning.

Just tried the app and I've been signed out for some reason. Don't think I'll sign in again just in-case there's been another hack.
