My all time favourite sporting icon is Eric Cantona ... or King Eric his nick name was .. this man was like a rottweiler chasing a butchers van with the doors open .. He was so enthralled in each match he played .. Never letting up always chasing the ball forever chasing his man he was marking and never once would he stop and take a breath .. His eye never left the ball and his skill with the ball was second to none ... his passion to win showed in his the way he spurred his team on , He wasn't only a fabulous footballer but was also a defender of his mums honour when an opposing fan disrespected his mum and King Eric to everyone's disbelief jumped over the boards at the side of the pitch and did a karate like move .... no 1 will ever forget that night ... Cantona scored 64 goals for Manchester united in 143 appearances . he played for his country 46 times and scored 20 goals for France ... ohhhh ahhhh Canotona
My all time icon is Andy Murray. He just a great tennis player. It was sad that he did not do Wimbledon this. But his health comes be for tennis. I think next year wimblon will be his last. I think the end of 2019 he will step down from tennis. He will be sadly missed.
he has been a fab embarrassed for the sport x and been fantastic for uk x i agree i think next year he will stop playing which will be sad for himself and us
My sporting hero would have to be Steve Davis the snooker player, he dominated the sport in the 80s and as a kid i just thought he was amazing. I absolutely loved watching him play it was just so fantastic to see him win so many times, he was amazing in my eyes
