Are Todays Kids out of Control ?

Ask a Question

I don't know about you but when i was younger just the sight of a police car appearing would be enough to unnerve me

But todays generation don't seem to have any respect or fear of the law , as shown here

Never mind running away or hiding in awe of the police ,these kids waited until the occupants left their vehicle in pursuit of a criminal and decided to take it on a short joyride

Its bad enough them stealing a normal car , but this just shows how much disrespect they have for authority

Mind you the police are also partly to blame , it is an understatement to say they were a bit lax here , leaving the keys in the ignition while the car was unattended , it is like leaving a loaded weapon for anyone to take , the car can do as much damage as a gun , if not more

Yes definitely and I'm sorry to say it's not down to the parents either some do all they can but they still end up in the wrong crowd

I would have heard about that sort of thing happening 18-20 years ago when I was a teenager. There will always be young people who are out of control, it isn't anything new. It's just that thee are more places to share these incidents. The majority of the pupils I teach are amazing but there will always be a few who aren't, it has been that way for ages.

MrsCraig The problem is todays kids feel they are immune from society and punishment M

They are more savvy because of social media as you mentioned , sharing this type of thing to get likes and knowing exactly what punishment they might face, which is normally just a slap on the wrist

They hold no fear of the police and i think they know this

Yes, I have found that if parents are out of control so are their children..

Yes definitely! And it’s thanks to numerous reasons.

Crap parenting, no discipline in schools, useless & woke police who only tackle easy targets, and a judicial system that is a complete joke!

Our whole system needs replacing with an updated version that has a 3 strike system for everything minor. Jusges need legislation to allow them to make sensible decisions and back police up. We need a new culture for the police that they are not prosecuted for trying to do their job.

No more then in the past. I find its the minority that are out of control. I do find parenting is getting worse though. There are parents that expect schools to bring up kids and parent the kids for them

I still feel like I have been naughty if a police car is behind me now lol. But you cant tar them all with the same brush. I know plenty of kids that are lovely.
