No, but then we're hopefully having 'our' Christmas tomorrow.

We've been ill and had a lot to do, so tomorrow we'd like to actually sit down and have Christmas dinner type meal together. We had Covid last year so had no Christmas, we visited most of the relatives this year, but ended up sleeping most of actual Christmas due to illness.

It always feels fresher and brighter once all of the Christmas decorations and/or tree is away though.

My tree and decorations came down on boxing day. I needed the room for our sons new toys. Tree always comes down on the 26th, I don't follow the 12 days of Christmas.

kate1310 I used to do it all when my children were younger but until we have young children in the home again I think the magic has gone. The best part about taking down decorations is that your home looks bigger!

Yep. I have autism and once an occasion has been, it makes me feel overwhelmed having everything out related to it. My wife wanted the lights up still, which is fine as they are up the window lol I can’t see them 🀣🀣.

Our daughter was due on September 7th 1998 & didn't arrive that day,so partner, his brother & I started peeling off all the old wallpaper,we also stripped the Christmas Tree of decorations & moved it to the loft, partner was busy that year, hence Tree being left!

Ours is still up, couldn’t take it down before new year πŸ™ˆ usually take it down around the 5th/6th depending on work. I was always brought up with the 12 days before and 12 days after - although it is usually up near the start of December now 🀭

I didn't put my tree up this year. I wasn't well. I really miss having the tree. I love decorating it. I didn't put it up last year either. I'm determined next I'm definitely putting the tree up and other decorations. Once there up I don't like to take them down. I can't understand why people take them down on boxing day.

Hopefully next Christmas I'd have moved out and then I'll put loads of decorations and the tree up. Hopefully 2024 is a good year for you and your family too.

If you believe in superstition then all decorations should be down by twelfth night, 6th January but I think a lot of people just want them cleared away now. A christmas tree always looks sad when all the presents have gone from underneath.
