Do You Have Trouble Buying the Right Size Trousers?
Ask a Question
Well I am a shortie. I am about 5’2 but a size 18-20. Trouble is my leg length for trousers is 25”. I can only ever find 27” + and often can’t find the correct size 18 or 20 anyway in the shops, even online when I look. My mum has taken up in past but I don’t like her to have to as she is elderly now. I have never learned myself how to do it and I know it’s tricky. Am I alone in this? I see models in magazines all shapes and sizes these days which is good but in shops the mannequins on display still look like stick thin 6 ft models!
I am over 6ft tall and waist 28, and I have trouble finding trousers and jeans, so joggers are ok
My OH calls me T rex. I'm 5"7 but my length is in my torso with short legs/arms. Im a 29" leg. Sometimes short legs are just too short & regular a bit too long. I struggle with jeans mostly so usually end up folding them at bottoms. Trousers I'll get taken up but my last pair cost me £15 to have altered so that's becoming increasingly more expensive.
I use to find it hard as I'm 5'9 but now it's not so hard with jeans it's coats and jumpers I struggle with always to short on the arms
I’m 5’2 as well but I am slim so I’m lucky that the petite range normally fits me very well, especially Topshop jeans. I do wish more shops offered a petite range.
Oh to just go in the shops and buy an item that's fits perfectly, sizes vary from shop to shop for me l have to take in two sizes, one is a tad too tight and the other a tad to lose, shoes, boots and trainers are the same....boy do l hate shopping for clothes & footwear.. don't get me started on bras..oh my gosh, maybe l should just wear a bin bag
Pinkspirit yes I get the same problem with sizes too big or too small and when u do find something I buy a couple
Pfs yep me too, l have sometimes only brought the one tho and when l go back the following week they have all sold out
I'm 5 foot 1, I find that the short length jeggings in Asda fit me perfectly. I'm a size 8/10 so I don't know if that makes a difference but I've never had an issue with Asda jeggings. Their short length trousers fit perfectly too.
If I did buy jeans that were too long I just turned them up.
MrsCraig I have purchased my jeans in Asda ever since BHS went from the high street but unfortunately they have changed their brand and can not find my jeans anymore. Now struggling to find ones that fit.
eyeballkerry I have found that the Jada and the Rosa fits one brilliantly. If buying the Erin you need to buy 2 sizes up from what you actually are.
