What is Your Trusted Clothes Brand?
Ask a Question
Having just had a clear out of clothes, it became clear some brands are just not as good quality as others. For instance my superdry hoodie is still going strong after 10 years, however my hollister one is barely scrapping through it's 3rd year.
I have Next jeans, well.into 4th winter, yet Tesco ones not lasting so well after 2 years
What are your trusted brands?
Thanks for creating this topic,in my family boy’s like Stone island/ Emporio Armani I can say best qualityand I like peruna brand jumper’s etc from M&S best quality aswell
Zara is always my first stop
Prices for basics & their ‘special prices ‘ can be a surprise in par with primark!!
I used to buy clothes from Next and Marks and Spencer's. I have found however that clothing from Sainsbury's Tu range is quite good. Some of there costume jewellery is also lovely.
I sometimes buy from Primark. I have a few tops from them which are about 8yrs old and they haven't lost colour or shape.
COS (mainly their high quality tops/cardigans) and Next/Gap (trousers only). Wanted to replace all my old bras - recently bought 6 at George/Asda during a sale which were very good quality.
George for me. I absolutely love Asda clothes. Really good quality and reasonable prices, especially if you buy during the sales like I do. Matalan is another one and surprisingly Pep&Co from Poundland.
The North Face, Adidas, Fred Perry and Weird Fish for me.
All comfortable and seem to be lasting.
blacklabrador I used to buy from weird fish all the time. I may have to go back to them. Quality was great
vixe80, thank you. I got a grey Nike jumper it must be at least eight years old, may be older, and is good
as new
Karen Millen, their sizing is spot on.
French connection, Zara, All saints(when there is a sale on ) Sweaty Betty, Nike, myprotein, Brooks when I exercise x
On the rare occasion I buy new clothes then its George for me as I buy online and pick up at my local store just 10 mins walk away - have to order online as the stock they hold in the store is really poor - rarely get my size. All my work shirts come from charity shops - and most of them are actually M&S branded - cant go wrong with them for quality
I only wear Adidas and levi jeans, 90% of what I wear is Adidas, I tend to wear polyester t-shirts, they wash easily, never need ironing and last forever
martinlufc5637 I struggle with sizing in Levi jeans, maybe it's easier once found your size
vixe80 I have been wearing crosshatch jeans, most pairs have an elastic waist, they fit like a glove, yeah Levi's sizing is odd, I've sent a few pairs back in the last couple of years because they where too tight
I like Regatta for their Tee Shirts, Jackets and Craghoppers for their Cargo Pants. George from ASDA Is good quality too.
Mine used to be M&Co sadly the original brand is no more. M&S is nothing like it used to be the sizes are aways not to true size. I shop a lot at cotton traders , but to be honest nothing has the quality it ince had
sallylester1 I do also find sizing in marks and spencer not true - especially bottoms I have to go a size up
I really like Joe Brown clothes. Used to like M&S, but haven't found anything I like for some time.
We like Regatta, Cotton Traders and EWM. We are limited around here are there aren't many shops, everything is at least half an hour away.
I don't care about the brand just as long as it fits me and looks good. I'll be donating my M/L sized clothes as those don't fit me anymore.
M&S for me, good quality and last for ages! I have a jacket I’ve had for years from there and still looks fab!
I find in general the “named brands” last well whereas stuff from places like primark might be cheap but it only lasts a fraction of the length of time.
I wouldn't say trusted and can't speak for the quality but most of my clothes are from Tu at Sainsburys. Nearly all clothes shops seem to be run by children who are very indifferent to you if over 40!
Popping stuff in my trolley as I shop is hassle free for me and apart from odd seam coming apart seem to last well.
