What Did You Try Once.....
Ask a Question
What money saving thing did you try once, but will never again?
For me it's second hand shoes, they really icked me out so I'd rather buy new.
It wasn’t me trying to save money but does anyone else remember the ‘izal’ toilet roll at school ? Sort of a cross between tracing paper and grease proof paper !
I remember an uncle of mine used to have squares of newspaper on a string. We always made sure we had been to the loo before we went to see him !!
Not money saving but I tried fishing and going to a football match once and neither were enjoyable for me so never did it again. Also not super keen on concerts as I prefer listening to music on headphones with perfect sound. I do enjoy the atmosphere a bit of a live concert but not much. I'd rather go for a cycle ride to be honest which is free.
I bought the cheapest bin liners once and never again. They just split and got torn while using making them completely useless. Don’t do it!
Just brought some diamante rhinestones self adhesive from Temu to stick round the mirror on my dresser, my fingers hurt from pressing them in place..all night l could hear them plip plipping and falling off onto the floor....
I bought lidls own brand cornflakes instead of kellogs. Definitely won't be buying them again.
stevea808 I've had them and thought they were ok but definitely massively inferior to Kellogs. I never understand when people say Lidls is just as nice as the big brands it rarely is but the difference is often acceptable on some products because of the price difference. It's very hit and miss for me though as some Lidl products are unacceptable quality and some are ok. The annoying thing is when they change suppliers and the quality changes. Same packaging design but tastes different so you get caught out and its no longer the product you like.
As a teenager I tried to smoke a cigarette but coughed and spluttered so much I never tried again.
I have to say that I've continued to do all the money saving things that we have tried. There are a few that we do more than others but can't think of any we only did once.
My gran used to iron wrapping paper to reuse. As a teen I tried it but now just buy it in bulk in the sales, life's too short to iron and save wrapping
