I was reading an article about Susan Boyle and was surprised to read she still lives in the same council house she lived in before she found fame , despite earning millions from her career after Britain's Got Talent
I know she is a bit eccentric so thought this could be part of the reason
But i then read another article below this about The Chase's Anne Hegerty and how she is still living in a housing association flat despite earning millions
She suffers from autism so maybe the need to stay in smaller accommodation could be related to this
My opinion is that as long as they are happy that is the main thing

Some people don’t need to flaunt their wealth. They obviously feel safe and secure in their homes but they are stopping others who can’t afford to buy their homes.
Just cos someone has money doesn't mean they need or want to flaunt it. There's loads who do. Good for these 2 who want to keep to roots.
BTW you don't suffer from autism. You are autistic as you can't cure autism.

telmel - Both of these women are very, very selfish to still be occupying cheap housing which they both secured when they had little money or lived in unsuitable lodgings. Autism has nothing to do with it.
jam45 and some might say it is selfish for a single woman to live in a huge house alone that a bigger family could benefit from. I live alone and feel safe because my house is secure, smallish and probably not worth burgling. I would feel like a target if I lived alone in a posh house as criminals would assume I have valuables. As it is I do not own or want to own jewellery, expensive items, designer clothes etc and even if I were rich I would probably be giving it away.
Thats true M, some people are more secure in a small home, and both have their personal reasons for staying where they probably more secure with family and friends
