Would You Use an Oxygen Chamber to Improve Your Health ?
Other
I saw this article today about oxygen chambers and started wondering if they actually benefit people ?
MIchael Jackson was using one up to when he died and it is used now by celebs and singers like Justin Bieber
The therapy can increase oxygen levels in the blood supply by up to 70%.and improve the flow of nutrients through the body making you feel vitalised
The person in the article tried it and wasn't that impressed, she suffered pressure to the ears and a headache and sore throat, besides feeling claustrophobic, but did feel better later that day
Would you give it a try ?
I have reached an age when I just do what I like when I like and have no interest at this late stage of trying to prolong my life and wasting precious time when I could be doing something I love.
I think I'd give it a try , after all anything that benefits your health is great to be accessible. However I think I would like more information before trying it as the side effects may outweigh any benefits
harryhasla87651 I would think it hss been fully tested H , if not , and anything went wrong imagine the size of the law suits celebrities would be launching against the companies
telmel I meant that I would like to see the information about the side effects that people could get . Everything has some kind of side effect and all people react differently to things . I know it would have been vigorously tested but I'd just like to see the kind of side effects it can cause etc
When I had covid and was in hospital I got emotionally attached to my oxygen supply and portable oxygen cylinder when visiting the toilet etc. My lungs were in a terrible state due to covid and my bodies reaction to it and fighting it in a very blunt way, i.e. destroying the lungs because they were infected with covid. It's a nice feeling to be on oxygen. I used to hate it when they tried me off oxygen to see what state my lungs were in. I still over-react a bit to covid and my air channel becomes inflamed so I guess I would like to have oxygen available. Although I've recovered most of my lung capacity I'm still working to restore more of it but its a slow process. I've not been tested but I would guess I'm back to 90-95% of my original lung capacity. It definitely feels like it would be good to have easy access to an oxygen cylinder although perhaps some would claim you need to keep stressing your lungs to get them to be more efficient. I guess my point is there are many people with reduced lung function and other respiratory issues who would like to have access to oxygen.
BonzoBanana Hope you recover completely B, yes , if its a medical necessity its a different matter
telmel I guess my point is, those with slightly damaged pulmonary systems may benefit from oxygen therapy even if their breathing is not at a level that the NHS will assist with. People who were past smokers or worked in industrial situations which could have damaged their lungs etc. These people make up a fairly high percentage of the population and would get the maximum benefit from oxygen therapy.
Somewhat synchronously they have opened up a health shop with a hyperbaric chamber near me so I was wondering lol. We start to get desperate for a bit of an energy boost when we get older.I did buy a cannister of Oxygen on Amazon once and have a few mouthfuls.£10 for a can of air is quite expensive though.I'll just do a few breathing exercises for free and save the cash for cakes lol.
Oxygen bars will be next M
They already have them in Japan and the USA
At least everyone is sober at throwing out time
I can just hear the owner now
'Time please gentlemen , breathe up ''
In through the nose and out through the mouth.I'm a musician I know how to use my diaphragm and shout loud lol.
If I needed it, but I doubt it is necessary. I’d rather climb mountains or do diving to exercise the lungs, heart and muscles than just take in loads of oxygen
I have emphysema and at times i need oxygen when my oxygen levels go low, makes me feel a lot better when I use it
I would depending on the price and if it was reasonable enough. I know a lot of athletes do this so must be something to do with it.
Sounds truly awful. I'm sure the person felt better later in the day........, compared to the terrible ordeal they suffered. Why put yourself through something like that when they could be breathing the wonderfully pure air provided by ULEZ (not) lol
