Vaping Isn't Good or Healthy, but NHS Still "Encourages" It

It's right here: www.nhs.uk/live-well/quit-smoking/using-e-cigarettes-to-stop-smoking/
And this article/page will apparently only be updated by October 25, 2025. That's still a long way to go.
Maybe is the much lesser of two evils. I am guessing that its more the heavy users who are most in danger. And regular cigarettes are a suicide in a packet of evil.
PaxAmerica Maybe less harmful, but it is still harmful.
Weird NHS would have such a page.
Inhaling chemicals can't be a good thing, my wife uses a vape, scary seeing young teenagers walking around and using them
I think vapes are slightly better than tobacco but personally I have never been a smoker and I can’t stand either. Puts me off going into town because I have to breathe in people’ trails which I find disgusting. I have grown up around smokers and had to’passive’ smoke which has affected my health through no fault of my own.
They are still unsure of the long terms effects of vaping but as others have said, they believe it is less harmful than smoking
Child and dummy? Freudian oral stage? We just love putting things in our mouths! I stopped smoking years ago and started eating instead.Any kind of over indulgence is a danger. You can kill plants with kindness as well.My mate drowns his by over watering them.
I dont believe vaping is safe at all
We have had many years of research about smoking and we now know it causes deadly cancers
Vaping is so new , scientists are only now realising it can be as deadly as cigarettes
The biggest problem is vaping is being endorsed by the government and NHS as a safer option, without enough research going into it

I am not a smoker so totally against both of these. I get annoyed people smoking are polluting my air. Yes, I do know there are more things polluting the air. The worst thing is when you walk down the high street behind someone smoking or vaping and you land in a cloud of smoke. Both are bad for you and others. They have no long term evidence what vaping can do and how the NHS promotes it, is beyond me.
I'm not sure about Vaping and safety but the burning of tobacco does have a strong cancer causing effect. The fact the tobacco isn't burnt I'm guessing is the benefit with vaping. I can't get my head around the cost of cigarettes. It's like £15-20 for a packet I think and some people get through a pack a day. That's £450-600 a month. A staggering amount of money. I've seen some people of my age that drink and smoke and they look like crap, perhaps 20 years older than their years. My vice is over-eating which has its own health implications but at least over-eating while meaning carrying excess weight can mean your body gets a high level of nutrition, vitamins and minerals.
They are both dangerous, but if you’re addicted then it must be extremely hard to stop. I am grateful that I never smoked but I am also an introvert from birth so didn’t try much haha.
I think the issue is vapes are not getting uses as they are meant to be people are smoking them like they are going out of fashion when in fact you are only meant to use them if you have a craving use it once or twice then put it away till the next time you actually need it
It appears initially at least to be less harmful than smoking and given the resources the NHS use for smoking and smoking related health issues I get why they’d encourage vaping
Rishi Sunak had promised ‘crackdown’ on vaping products targeted at children but...

Some people may say this is propaganda from tobacco companies, but honestly neither of them are good for you.
