Weekend Lodge with Hot Tub Recommendations Please
Ask a Question
Looking for a good lodge for winter!
With hot tub,
Preferably midlands/ or Wales,
Does anyone have any recommendations that won't break the bank please
I haven’t but I don’t want to be a party popper but just be wary of hot tubs. We have our own and understand the upkeep of them. I have been to a property with one and took my own testing strips with me and it failed miserably.
eyeballkerry that is certainly very eye opening, what do the testing strips test for? Was it cleanliness of the water?
jms19 The strips test for all the nasties in the water. This is the ph levels, the right amount of chlorine, we know not enough is bad but so is too much. The strips test in total 7 different qualities in the water. Highly recommend you get some before every using a hot tub.
NicoleC94 I just recommend you acquire some spa test strips where ever stay. I think ebay sell some from around £5 and up. Better safe than sorry.
eyeballkerry that’s great advice actually, problem is sometimes it’s best not to think about this stuff
Out of interest, when you found the hot tub was not clean, did you take it up with the owners of the accommodation or just decide not to use the hot tub. I only ask because I know places with a private hot tub are a lot more expensive and i think i’d want a decent refund if it wasn’t useable.
jms19 It has happened to us three times. Once in a villa but the issue never got sorted so we never used it. Once in a hotel in Australia, but time it got sorted we had checked out and then at a Crown Plaza at Stratford upon Avon. The latter two were foaming too much.
Can't recommend any but take a look here:- www.visitwales.com/places-stay/hot-tub-breaks-wales
Try hoeseasons, I've had some excellent hot tub log cabins through them, also canopy and stars website have some really quirky cabins such as tree houses, lighthouses ect
Pods @ Broadway in Laugharne! Really nice and cheaper than a lot of the similar options. About 30 minutes from Tenby
We have been to quite a few with Hoseasons but not in the Midlands or Wales . Hoseasons do Midlands and wales so I would look at them and the reviews .
Just wondering if you've had chance to take a look at any of the suggestions, be nice to know what you've picked if any and why?
Have a look on here. I have been to a few gorgeous places www.canopyandstars.co.uk/
