Ask a Question
Has anyone got any tips on how to keep cool. Last night I created a through draft by opening my windows both sides. Unfortunately the birds woke me up just after 4 singing .
Having real problems at the moment trying to sleep with the heat. I live in bungalow, our bedroom is north facing but for some reason it is the warmest room in the home. We can only open small windows as we are in a bungalow so I have two fans going.
You can buy cool pillows from about £5. They contain a gel and you can freeze them before use. I find they help.
It was so intense last Summer that I bought a gel pillow and put it inside my normal pillow. It allowed me to, at least, drop off to sleep. I usually sleep with the windows open and I can ignore the birds.
I just use my duvet sheet not the actually duvet
Put leave duvet at end of bed in case it gets cold
Yes the damm birds lovely but not that early
Also I read somewhere that having windows is a no no
I still sleep with a 13 tog duvet, a weighted blanket and a throw. If I get too warm, I'll just put my arms outside.
I'm up very early most days, so the birds don't bother me. But we do have a baby magpie around atm which makes quite a noise.
Oh, TheChimp! You must be a reptile! Can Mrs. Chimp also sleep under that lot?
Like you, the birds don’t bother me, I love to hear them in the mornings.
gerrykelly25 MrsChimp just takes the bedding off her on her side of the bed.
Yep, love the birds. The blackbirds especially cheer me up. Haven't heard our cuckoo for around a week though
My daughter fills a hot water bottle will chilled water which she keeps just for filling the bottle, out of fridge into freezer about an hour before needed.
