mines gotta be monty python life of brian ... funny from beginning to end but probs alot of people find it none politically correct ..
Hi Darren. I can't think of the name of the film but it was very funny. This man's father had died. He was rubbing his has because he though his dad had left him money. When he got there it was this elephant. And he was not happy about. It was a very good film. Antic the elephant got him in. I could not stop laughing. It's a film you could watch again and again. Sorry I can't think of the name but if it comes to me I will get back to you.
I think the film you are talking about is Larger than Life, starring Bill Murray - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larger_than_Life_(film)
Hi ACR yes that's the film thank you for that I just could not rember it. It was a very good film and very fununy. Thanks again.
yea seen it and yes it is funny . thanks for the name ACR i would of been up all night trying t remember what it was called lol
Hi Darren thanks to acr I know the name. Like you I would have been up all night trying work out the name. I watch it a few times. I think there a follow on. Going to check it out. Hope you are keeping well.
I'm not a big fan of comedy films from the last 20 years. My favourite would probably be original The Producers (1967) starring Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel.
i was a twinkly in my dads eye then was only born in 1970 lol might of seen it though ya never know
DarrenHelsby It was before my time as well, but I prefer film comedies from the 60s, 70s & 80.
I am not generally a fan of comedies, would much sooner watch historical drama or epics, spy films etc. However, being a fan of Gerard Butler I did watch The Ugly Truth and found it hilarious.
nt seen that i might find it and give it a try ... theres days u just need to watch a good comedy
DarrenHelsby it is comedy romcom but has a side that guys will love and Butler plays a real straight speaking tv show host who talks about relationships from a guys point of view and very bluntly. Meets a woman who expects romance etc and there are some really funny bits if you don't mind a bit of crudity!
@Lyinibis I've just watched "The Ugly Truth" on your recommendation, although a good film and well worth watching I didn't think it had as many "laugh out moments" as one of the funniest films I've watched recently which was "Step Brothers".
davidstockport I have never watched Step Brothers. Comedies tend to always disappoint. I think some are stories with comedic moments others are the outright comical.
Glad you didn't dislike it, but I really like Gerard Butler, will probably watch Hunter, Killer this weekend. He stars in a submarine based film.
Lynibis Sorry for delay I'm not getting notified of replies. I agree some comedies (especially American) are over rated, A thing I've found is that some American females speak twice as fast as I can listen and speak in voices that are so high pitched I'd need a dog to translate for me, so half of what is said is lost on me.
I used to like the Pink Panther films starring Peter Sellers (I can't decide which was my favourite), just remembered I was given the DVD box set of them all I haven't started watching yet.
