Whats the Relativity Cheapest but Good Quality Supermarket

Ask a Question

I was wondering which supermarket is the relativity cheapest but has good quality. I think Lidl/ Aldi is the cheapest one but I think their quality isn’t so good

I think Aldi is cheapest overall and has some good quality items but equally not so good items. It’s best to shop at all of them in my opinion depending on what offers are on.

I do most of my shopping in Aldi but not as cheap as it used to be so also shop in Sainsbury who do some Aldi price matching so may as well earn a few extra Nectar points.

I love my Aldi, but I do shop around alot, i would say my monthly shopping overall is about 60% Aldi, 10% tesco, 10% Asda, 10% farm foods, 5% butcher, 5% other independent local shops, it's the only way to get the most for me money

Aldi alternatives are great and usually a great comparison to some of the main branded items.

The only downside is they don’t usually offer much incentive or ‘points’

I think there is an Aldi app but I don’t think there is a huge benefit to using it (I could be wrong!)

BUT there is an app called ‘Jam Doughnut’ where you get cash back on gift cards. Sadly we can’t share referral codes here!

But Aldi is often an option on there and it is often a boosted bonus when it is. Most gift cards are added instantly, so you can add up your shopping as you go, buy the gift card and pay with it. Therefore getting cash back on that shop. Or if you pre-buy the gift card like I like to, you can use the gift card and pay the spare how you want to or if you have a £100 gift card and spend £60 you will still have the £40 remainder on your app to spend next time.

I do however love Tesco points and the fact many of the free or discounted items on the Shopmium app (can’t share link here but look online for a referral code, as you can get a free item if you use someone’s code) GreenJinn and CheckoutSmart are available at Tescos. I don’t think they have anything Aldi specific.

So Aldi and Tesco would be my top 2.

We now always go to Aldi, Asda is just too expensive, Aldi is definitely the cheapest in my opinion
