What Is The Worst Sale Item You Have Bought?
Other
We all love to save money and I get very proud when I manage to get myself a bargain. However sometimes I’ve made the mistake of seeing an item in a sale at such a fantastic price that I convince myself that it’s a “must have “ item . Something I would use all the time . Then when I get it home I think “why did I get this ? Yes it was 80% off original price but when will I actually use it ?”.
Years ago I purchased an orange dress that was reduced significantly . There wasn’t many left and unfortunately my size wasn’t available. However it was such a bargain that I decided that I could do with losing a bit of weight (just out of the blue , I’m on a diet!!!!). So I ended up buying the bright orange dress in a smaller size than I was because obviously I could easily fit into it within a few weeks once I lose a few pounds! It hung in my wardrobe with the labels on until the following summer when I decided to give it to a slimmer friend. It was such a bargain !!!!! Lol
Have you had any similar experiences and would like to share your “moment of madness “ with everyone. To show everyone that sometimes items are reduced so much because no one wants to buy it lol .
I recently went to a nearby (very expensive) garden centre for a browse. There was a sale section with lots of expensive looking wooden household items at half price so I got a pastry brush and back scrubber. No kidding within a week or so the handle came off the scrubber and the brush hairs came out of the pastry brush in a clump! No wonder they were half price.
I have to say I've been lucky with my sale items. Even if something is on sale I will only buy it if I need it.
My mum on the other hand is a different story. She couldn't resist a kitchen gadget bargain. Cupboard was full of them. She has a sausage maker that she has never used but might one day so it is still in the cupboard. She had every gadget going, all bought in the sales, which then just sat in the cupboard.
MrsCraig that’s the kind of thing I have experienced so many times. I’m so happy I’ve got a bargain and can’t wait to use the item I’ve got that will be of so much benefit to me . Only for it to fall apart on first use . Lol

MrsCraig unfortunately thats sounds a lot like me . When I see the “bargain “ item I honestly can’t think how I have been managing without it for all these years . Then I use it once or twice (if I’m lucky) , then it’s lost under all the other bargains I’ve found . Lol
EDIT I’m just adding this little edit as all my reply’s seem to have ended up as replies to your comment only and some have been printed twice . I don’t know what’s happened but I’m sorry if my replies to you seemed confused lol

It’s usually shoes for me. I try them in the shop, pay the discounted price and then when I eventually go to wear them they hurt my feet. I tend to stick to Fitflops, can’t go wrong.
If the price is too good to be true then I don't bother, wasted loads of money over the years for cheap bargains, that turned out to be garbage
