When Was the Last Time You Had a Fray Bentos Pie?

I love them! The steak and ale or beef and onion is think it is. I just dont like kidney at all. I remember laughing seeing them on a 1970 food program!

Been awhile.You hardly see them around these days.I like the minced beef one.

I think they have gone horrible we used to them all the time fight to get them open but I found the sauce very lumpy it's was like slime

My mummy used to make the fray bentos steak and kidney pie for dinner when we were kids. It was between 5 of us, so small too. I wasn't fussed on the thought of getting a bit of kidney, yuck! But what I did love, was when the tin was empty I would get a spoon and go right round the edges, scrapping off the crust. Mmmmm, so tasty. Haven't had 1 since I was a kid.

I must admit that I have never had a Fray Bentos pie. I've had plenty of supermarket own pies but that is not one that I've ever eaten.

Years ago for me, we always had them when we were younger , my Mrs makes homemade steak pies, they are delicious

I wouldn't eat one of these pies as don't think they look very nice.

I think I had one a year or so back. It was sold in farmfoods for something like 79p but was the vegetarian curry style pie that I forget the name of. It was ok.
