I take mine down on 2 January each year. It's pointless celebrating Christmas in January.

Last year I took them down on Boxing day! Christmas day was over so the decorations weren't needed anymore.

I always take most of it down on the second Jan but just leave the odd thing out until the 5th.

The saying is to take Christmas decorations down on the twelfth night. Twelfth Night (5th January) is when all Christmas Decorations should be removed so as not to bring bad luck upon the home.

In the first few days of January usually depending on when we have time and if my son wants them up or down for his birthday.

Boxing Day. Had enough by then! Nearly didn’t bother this year but family said they were coming for Xmas so put them up. Roll on Boxing Day to take them down.

My guilty secret for the last few years I have managed to keep some sort of decoration up.

1 thing I get confused about though is solar lights in the garden . For 10 months of the year they are solar lighting but in November and December they are Christmas lights.

We keep them up for a week after New Year. The house feels sad without them

I hardly put any up, so it is going to take me two minutes to take them down. I have been roped in to take my daughters decorations down at her pub but will wait until she asks.

It depends if you put them up in the first place.
