Which brands offer a discount when you leave items in your basket?

Hey, have you ever been given a discount by a company or supermarket for leaving items in your basket?
I want to make a list of which stores do it, as a tactical way to save money.
It works by signing up to the website (so they have your email address), then buy adding items to the basket, but leaving before you checkout.
Then you wait and see if they send you an email offering a discount to complete the purchase.
I think there may be some price glitch opportunities here. For example, some say they get a voucher code of £10 to complete the purchase. I bet these could be used on anything though.

A friend of mine got rung up by Apple to offer a discount because he had about £30k in his basket! But not sure they do that very often...

Thanks for this! I recently went to buy from a local company bleubird, and the next day got a discount email as I hadn't completed the transaction!
Tried it a few times , often get an email "you have left something in your basket " . Never been offered a discount

I've noticed that a lot of the online catalogues do Marisota, Curvissa. It could be because I have accounts with them, normally it's 10 - 15%
