Cloned Pig Attacks Dog and Owner Causing Serious Injuries in Norfolk
In the News
When you take the dog for a walk the last thing you expect is to be attacked by a wild pig
This one was originally a breeding experiment splicing a wild boar with a normal pig
It not only attacked the dog but also both owners, biting into the husbands knee
It had just given birth to a litter so it is thought the pig was defending them, hence the attack
From the photos showing the dogs stitches it is a miracle the poor thing survived
For me i would have been bringing home the bacon, literally

Yeah wild boars can be aggressive at times apparently, I’d love to see one in the uk but would keep my distance ofc
I read recently that someone was trying to introduce a law that dogs should always be on a lead. There are so many wild animals including the pig pannage that are being attacked by pet dogs.
I love dogs but they are a predator and I think are responsible for about 10,000 to 25,000 human deaths per year and an unknown number of other species. A pig seeing a dog is going to possibly cause a reaction like this. You don't hear of many farm workers getting injured by pigs and they can be very friendly animals. They are so exploited and live horrible short lifes just bred for meat almost exclusively. Just feels like a rare place where a pig can live freely is now under threat because it wanted to protect its young.
George Orwell's Animal Farm describes the pigs to be the “cleverest of the animals”
As in his book where they rebel against their human farmer, in the future they might create a society where the animals can be equal
