Wimbledon. Comfort Breaks.

Ask a Question

What's with these comfort breaks now?

I'm sure that the tennis players back in the 80s, 90s and before didn't need to take a p*ss or a s*it mid game.

These players 'cannot be serious.'

Get on with the game ffs.

I dunno, i get it’s a bit inconvenient but i watch to see high level tennis which required concentration. Needing the toilet might cause their game to dip so I don’t mind it

jms19 Nope, not having it.

They can go to the toilet before the game.

TheChimp i mean for the men they can play for 5 sets and have to keep themselves hydrated so surely they would need the toilet at some point, especially with the things they drink.

I know they can have a break between sets but if they’re desperate what can they do?

jms19 The men or women didn't need breaks back in the day, so what's changed?

TheChimp well the level has increased, the matches are lasting longer and are more strenuous. Plus those isotonic drinks make you go to the toilet more.

I mean the only alternative is the possibility of someone soiling themselves on court which personally I don’t wanna see.
