Woman Mistakenly Dumped into Bin Lorry and Nearly Crushed Four Times

In the News

When i started reading this story i thought to myself how could a woman from Manchester go unnoticed in a rubbish bin and get tipped into a bin wagon to be nearly crushed 4 times ?

Despite the photo showing a UK rubbish truck and crew i realised this story was about Manchester in the US , New Hampshire

Homeless people regularly sleep in rubbish containers there to keep warm , especially in the winter, and like all things in the US you are talking about large garbage containers that are communal , not the smaller individual bins we have

So i understand how this might have happened , and that she was lucky to be alive

Oh my word that's horrendous, she must have been so frightened. Terrible that folk are reduced to living that way in the 21st century.

Lynibis Yes L, she must have been terrified

I don't understand how she didn't wake up when they started to lift it , it must have made a lot of noise and vibration

I can only imagine she had been drinking or taking something that put her in a semi conscious state and was only fully awake when tipped into the crusher , she was so lucky !

I read this it's shocking and it shouldn't be this way I know some make themselves homeless but there has to be somewhere they can go instead of a bin

Leannexxx I think things are worse in the US than here L, they have hostels there but when full there is nowhere else to go
