World's Oldest Post Office in Scotland Saved by Descendant living in Florida

I love these sort of stories , especially when things or places are unique and are so old

I visited “U Fleků”, a brewery in prague which sells one of the oldest and original dark beers in the world going back to 1349

But this is the first i have heard of the oldest working post office in the world , and this happens to be in Sanquhar in Scotland

The new owner and latest postmaster is a descendant from Florida

Another claim to fame for the post office is that Robbie Burns was a regular visitor to the town and became close friends with the Sanquhar postmaster at that time

It definately gets my 'stamp' of approval and worth 'posting'
