Very Wrong Weather Forecast

Went to Burnham On Sea today despite the weather forecast not being amazing but still pleasant, clear skies, low wind and a 19 degree peak temperature with 18 degrees showing for the best part of the day. However still fancied the trip out so went.
However on the beach into the later part of the afternoon it went up to 23 degrees basically 4-5 degrees more than the BBC had claimed on their forecast. They weren't even close to being right. Super hot day at the beach basically. For much of the trip driving back the car was still registering 23 degrees too. It certainly felt that temperature too although there was no wind chill factor as the winds were very low. It felt like a peak summer's day out.
They struggle giving weather reports most of the time even though its showing the weather reports every hour .
This happens a lot, I tend to just look out the window in the morNing. I was booking Portugal the other week and one weather site said it wasn’t going to be nice. Luckily I ignored that and booked. It was 35 degrees.
It was supposed to be 17 degrees with us yesterday, which is still nice weather but it was actually 21 degrees in the afternoon. All the pupils were asking to have lessons outside.
It's meant to be 23 degrees today it was saying 18 but was 20 yesterday I never go off what the weather says just see what it's like for myself
You're quite right they never seem to get it right these days, 23 degrees with us yesterday, beautiful day. It's hard to plan things these day with our weather forecasts.
I have various weather apps and none of them are accurate, one said sunny all day Monday, it rained all day lol
martinlufc5637 haha weather apps are never accurate! I was about to say this but you beat me to it!
Past two days hot up to 21 degrees and today and weekend it’s up another 2, 23 degrees will feel like 24!!
Finally weather has improved but then when it’s summer time argh dreading it and hope we don’t have heatwave!!
I never watch the weather on the television... my friend the other day said they said it was gonna be dry allday and night, l went to work in just a jacket, when l left it was absolutely pouring, then again other times they have told me it is going to rain so l take a waterproof poncho and hat and it sunny on my way home...Aargh
Pinkspirit ...I have to plan as I'm sometimes on shift from 3pm & don't finish til 5.30pm following day or sometimes I'm on shift 8.30am til following day at 8.30am or sometimes til 17.30pm. I walk to work & back if working at my usual place but sometimes I cover shifts on the other side of Sheffield & walk the 3 mile into the city centre after feeding the ducks in one of the lovely parks on my route home & going shopping..
Wow, I hope it didn't spoil your visit B. I am suprised you think the weather forecast is meant to be accurate. It's always been a guide and nothing more than that. My carer often spots me watching the news and asks what the weathers going to be tomorrow; my answer is cheekily 'outside' and I point to the window lol
It's more accurate than it used to be. Famously in the 80s was supposed to be lovely day and had storms causing thousands worth of damage
